Hit a Hole-in-One this Spring with Shi-Golf

It’s Fashion on the Fairway.

If you’ve ever avoided the golf course because the requisite apparel makes you cringe, this is for you. Say goodbye to boxy bermudas and shapeless pastel polos. Golf apparel just got fashion-friendly, with local clothing line Shi-Golf hitting the links.

When founder and designer Kelly Su took up golfing for quality time with her husband, she quickly found the clothing options to be quite limited. So she started creating some DIY designs by mixing pieces and accessorizing to make her uniform more fashionable, but still acceptable for the stuffiest of golf clubs. Bombarded by compliments from other female golfers, Su decided to launch a line to fill what she saw as a need for the growing number of female golfers.

The result: low-waisted dresses, flirty skirts, sweet sweaters, v-neck vests and even an LBD! The use of breathable fabrics means the pieces are ideal for the green, and their perfect fit makes them sexy enough for dinner after the game.

If you’re already a golfer, you no longer need to worry about someone seeing you on the way to the fairway. If you haven’t tried the sport yet, this might just be an incentive to hit the driving range. For the rest of you, isn’t it a relief to know chic sportswear is no longer an oxymoron?

Shi-Golf apparel is available online and at several Western Washington golf stores.
