Let’s Go Dutch: Cycling Adventure of a Lifetime

KLM USA Is Giving Two Lucky Couples the Chance to Bike Across Holland.

Do you have a passion for European culture, a sense of adventure and some basic knowledge of bicycle maintenance? If so, Visit Holland is your kind of contest. The four winners will receive a once-in-a-lifetime, multi-city bike tour across the Netherlands.

The Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines are in search of engaging, fun and adventurous duos in the US or Canada to take part in this  promotion. Not only will two pairs win a chance to enjoy the picturesque Dutch landscape firsthand, but they  also will be required to capture it on film. By uploading a daily video diary entry throughout the trip, these cyclists will have the opportunity to share their entire adventure with a few thousand (or more) web viewers.

Here’s how the contest works: Any twosome can enter by uploading an audition video that demonstrates their unique personalities. Ideally, they should love to travel and be able to relate their experiences to fellow globetrotters. Each of the chosen teams will be sent on one of two biking trails — the North or South Holland trail — and cycle through five cities.

The North Holland trail team will visit Dutch cheese markets and take in some scenic fishing villages in the towns of Edam, Enkhuizen, Alkmaar, Haarlem and Amsterdam. The South Holland trail team will have a chance to view the world’s tallest windmills and stop by Rembrandt’s birthplace while traveling through Gouda, Schiedam, Delft, The Hague and Leiden.

If you’re interested, be sure to upload your video by May 1. The contest is open to anyone in the US and Canada. For more information, check out the Facebook pages for either Holland or KLM USA.
