The Waves Wine

Natural wine subscription The Waves offers wines that are organically farmed, low-intervention, and delicious, with no synthetic additives. The Waves was founded by Gaurav Tiwari and Andy Comer, who met several years ago in Seattle and became friends around a shared love of wine. In the midst of the pandemic, Andy approached Gaurav with a question: why is it so hard to find wines you can trust aren’t full of chemicals? Gaurav, driven by a passion for improving customer experiences and building businesses with a positive impact, recognized the gap.

The Waves allows subscribers access to bottles from around the world. The subscriptions are personalized and customizable. Every subscription gives access to their Rare Bottle Room—an ever-evolving collection of limited-production bottles and older vintage releases from the world’s most sought-after makers of honest wine. There are three different subscriptions that vary in price and offer different numbers of bottles per month. You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time. Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Indian Wells Rosé

Summer is rosé season and we love this crisp and refreshing rosé from Chateau Ste. Michelle. The Indian Wells Rosé is a beautiful pale pink color and delivers aromas of juicy watermelon and fresh strawberry, with flavors of ripe peach and Rainier cherry. This rosé is a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, and Counoise grapes, sourced from the Columbia Valley. This bright and balanced wine won 90 points from Wine Enthusiast, and is a perfect pairing to any occasion. We especially love enjoying this wine (and others) at Chateau Ste. Michelle summer concerts.

Liquid Light Chardonnay

We’ve been loving Liquid Light wines in the warmer weather as they are lighter, lower in calories, and don’t have any added sugar. Liquid Light is a fresh take on wine from Washington State, and is transparent about its ingredients. The Chardonnay is the newest addition to the Liquid Light collection, and we are definitely a fan. A combination of oak and stainless-steel fermentation delivers the classic bright flavors of Washington State with the palate weight of a barrel fermented Chardonnay. It is bright and lightly oaked, and features notes of melon, Asian pear and star fruit, with hints of citrus zest and marzipan. This wine pairs well with clams and shellfish, triple cream Brie, roasted chicken, grilled vegetables, and creamy pastas.

Unwine’d NA Bubbly Rosé

Finding a good non-alcoholic wine can be difficult, so we were very excited when we learned about Unwine’d and their dealcoholized bubbly rosé made from premium Washington State wine. Their innovative distilling process preserves the flavor of the wine while removing the alcohol, resulting in the best non-alcoholic bubbly rosé we’ve had! We love that Unwine’d is committed to minimizing their environmental impact, as their dealcoholizing process uses limited water and energy. This delicious bubbly rosé is available in a four-pack, and can be purchased here.

Duke’s Summer Duketails

We all love relaxing on a patio in the summer, especially one that has amazing views and cocktails! Duke’s is the perfect spot to soak up the sunny weather and enjoy a refreshing beverage with a view of the water. This summer they have lots of fun libations, like their cucumber mojito and famous bloody mary. Our personal favorites for summertime sipping are the blueberry lemon drop and the nectarine mule. Duke’s also has a variety of delicious margaritas, whiskey cocktails, and martinis. The next time you’re looking for a place to grab a drink with a friend, check out one of Duke’s many locations around the Seattle area.
