From cocktail and museum pop-ups to indulging in fall flavors at local markets, there’s no shortage of ways to embrace the season. Here are eight must-do activities to experience Seattle at its best this fall.

Epicurean Wine & Food Pairing Experience at Long Shadows in Woodinville

Woodinville is a 30 minute drive from Seattle and boasts more than 130 wineries arrayed across four winemaking districts. There is so much to do and see in Woodinville, but top of our list this season is the Epicurean Wine & Food Pairing Experience at Long Shadows. This unique culinary experience is a collaboration between Gourmondo, a specialty foods and catering company, and Long Shadows, an award-winning Washington winery.

The collaboration features a six course tasting menu designed to complement the wine tasting experience with delectable dishes like Ahi Tuna Tataki, Smoked Duck with Huckleberries and Panna Cotta, Moroccan BBQ Salmon, and Chocolate Orange Olive Oil Truffle. Each bite from Gourmondo is meticulously crafted to enhance the masterfully produced wines from Long Shadows, creating an unforgettable dining experience. Reservations can be booked here.

The Edgewater’s Spooky Little Halloween Bar

In honor of Halloween fast approaching, check out the new Spooky Little Halloween Bar pop-up at Seattle’s only over-water hotel, The Edgewater. Located on the downtown Seattle waterfront, The Edgewater has created the ultimate Halloween haunt on the hotel’s second floor, running from Thursdays to Sundays from 5:00 – 10:00 pm until November 3.

At ‘Ravenedge Manor,’ you can enjoy devilish drinks and nibble on eerie delights amidst a chilling, foggy atmosphere. We recommend the Creepy Crawlers Martini made with peach vodka, melon liqueur, and lemon, and the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with bleu cheese and candied walnuts—so good, they’ll haunt your taste buds long into the afterlife. This captivating exhibition is a 90-minute narrative journey that brings to light the events and vivid personal accounts of those aboard the vessel, alongside 200 never-before-seen objects from both passengers and crew members.

Artisanal ramen restaurant Kayava Ramen opened recently in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, and it is definitely worth a visit. Kayava is run by Masuo Onishi, the owner and chef of “Tsurumen Davis,” a well-known ramen restaurant with locations in Japan and in Boston.

Beecher’s Cheese at Pike Place Market

Founded in 2003, Beecher’s Cheese is an iconic cheesemaker that operates in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market, and was recently awarded the top U.S. made cheese in the country by the American Cheese Society. Beecher’s produces handmade cheese, gourmet crackers, and a variety of entrees, soups, and side dishes, like the ever-so-popular mac and cheese. Their products are sold in grocery stores nationwide, and you can also visit any of their locations in person, with our favorite being the one in Pike Place Market.

Beecher’s recently expanded their frozen soup selection just in time for fall, to include some delicious new flavors: chicken and vegetable and red lentil. Other soup flavors include smoky cauliflower bisque, pork verde, and long-time favorite tomato cheddar. All of their soups are made with whole foods that their co-packer prepares in-house.
