Restaurant Spotlight: ELDR by General Harvest

Award-winning General Harvest Restaurant Group is back at it again with their newest restaurant, ELDR, located in Seattle’s Sunset Hill neighborhood.

Led by Executive Chef and Restaurateur Brian Clevenger, ELDR—meaning ‘fire’—reflects the restaurant’s commitment to wood-fire cooking, a departure from Chef Clevenger’s usual focus on pasta. Situated in the former Samara space, the restaurant’s interior is inviting, offering an elevated yet cozy atmosphere with an open kitchen. Whether you’re enjoying a night out with friends or a romantic date night, ELDR provides the perfect setting.

ELDR’s menu often changes, featuring high-quality proteins, sustainably sourced seafood, and seasonal produce, with the majority of dishes prepared using wood-fire cooking. Every dish is crafted with a focus on simplicity, and bold, natural flavors inspired by the Pacific Northwest. Share plates are the name of the game here. The beef tartare, smoked scallop crudo, and sunchokes are all great options for starters. The GH bread service is a must-order for the table, and the selection of Mediterranean-influenced dips are the perfect complement.

Of the mains, highlights include the bistro steak, the seared black cod, and the classic cheeseburger. The duck for two and steak for two are also perfect for sharing. If you prefer to just sit back and relax and let the chef choose for you, the chef’s tasting menu is a fantastic choice. Make sure to save room for dessert—the tiramisu is delicious.

ELDR has an extensive bar program highlighting hand-crafted signature cocktails made from spirits from local distilleries and around the world, a selection of local and domestic beers, and a substantial wine list that features several Italian, French, and Pacific Northwest winemakers.

ELDR is open daily from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and is located at 6414 32nd Ave NW in Sunset Hill, Seattle. For more information or to make a reservation, visit their website
