The Seattle-based business, in partnership with Windermere Real Estate, offers an innovative second home ownership model that is flexible, straightforward, and financially sensible for all.
Over the past two years, the Esterre team has created a new concept for consumers to own equity in a portfolio of carefully curated homes across Washington State’s most desirable locations, all without the burdens and expenses of maintenance and management that are typically associated with traditional home ownership.
For a fraction of the cost of purchasing a single vacation home, owners enjoy over a month of annual access to high-end homes across the state, and unlimited nights in any available home within 5 days of booking. The price of an ownership interest for the first portfolio of five homes is currently $365,000 and limited to 40 ownership interests.
When you join Esterre you become part owner of a select group of high-end second homes in Washington’s most sought-after destinations, all within easy driving distance from Seattle. The number of ownership interests is capped at 8 per home, and the network of homes is yours to enjoy for the next 12 years. After that, the homes in your portfolio are sold, and the proceeds are shared among the owners.
Ownership entitles you to 32 nights annually (8 nights per quarter) across any home in Esterre’s network, including future additions. You can reserve your guaranteed nights up to 12-months in advance for your preferred destinations. Additionally, enjoy unlimited access to any available home for last-minute getaways, made within five nights of your desired arrival date. Esterre’s app simplifies the reservation process, and ensures fair and equitable access to all time periods.

The homes on Esterre are all within a 2-3 hour driving distance from Seattle, thoughtfully chosen to transport guests to a completely different environment. The first five locations include Snoqualmie Summit, San Juan Island, Whidbey Island, Fidalgo Island, and the Olympic Peninsula. These homes vary in size and sleep 6 to 12 people. They offer sophisticated comfort including new furnishings and fixtures, fully stocked chef’s kitchens, special outdoor spaces, and wellness-inspired amenities. Notable features include Parachute linens, Avocado organic mattresses, and Breville counter appliances.
Owners don’t have to worry about maintenance, cleaning, managing supplies, or balancing books – it’s all taken care of by the Esterre management team, providing consumers an opportunity to own a portfolio of second homes without the long list of responsibilities and expenses that come with owning even one.

We recently stayed at the Esterre home on San Juan Island, and it was absolutely stunning. The west-facing waterfront home is perched just above the Haro Strait with breathtaking views of the Canadian Gulf Islands from nearly every room. The sunsets from our deck were spectacular, and you can even sometimes spot whales and sailboats while enjoying a bonfire overlooking the water. The house was conveniently located on the island, making it easy to explore both Roche Harbor and Friday Harbors.
The house has two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a cozy den with a sleeper sofa. We loved the expansive deck, the large kitchen island, the heated bathroom floors, and the living room fireplace. This waterfront home is the perfect base for year-round island adventures or simply just relaxing and unwinding.
