Haerfest: General Harvest’s Newest Restaurant in Fremont

Executive Chef and Restaurateur Brian Clevenger opened his newest restaurant Haerfest in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood last month, and it is absolutely worth a visit. ‘Haerfest’ is derived from Old English and represents the Autumn harvest, embodying abundance and the culmination of farming efforts.

Haerfest stays true to what Chef Clevenger does best, offering a selection of handmade pastas, fresh local vegetables, a variety of seafood and protein dishes, and delicious craft cocktails. The menu is focused on simplicity, unique flavor profiles, and fresh, quality ingredients. Starter highlights include rockfish crudo, burrata with prosciutto, and charred carrots with hot honey. The handmade pastas are the star of the show, with options like ricotta gnocchi with pesto and pine nuts, and agnolotti with braised rabbit and fava beans (our personal favorite!). The entrée selections include items such as grilled wild salmon, pork chop with guanciale, and prime New York steak. Dessert is not-to-be-missed, with both the tiramisu and chocolate mousse cake being fantastic choices.

Haerfest’s extensive bar program features hand-crafted signature cocktails that highlight spirits from local distilleries and around the world, as well as a selection of local and domestic beers (including the General Harvest x Seapine helles lager), and a substantial wine list that features several Italian, French, and Pacific Northwest winemakers.

Founded by Chef Brian Clevenger in 2015, General Harvest is an award-winning restaurant group operating spaces throughout greater Seattle. The restaurant group includes Vendemmia, Raccolto, Haymaker, G.H. Pasta & Pizza, East Anchor Seafood, and now Haerfest. General Harvest has received local and national accolades and has been featured in publications and broadcasts locally and across the country.

“We’re excited to be opening our sixth General Harvest location in Fremont. We’re big fans of the neighborhood and have had a goal to serve that community for a while now,” says Chef Clevenger. “This restaurant will be most comparable to our first, Vendemmia, in terms of style and overall menu.”

Haerfest is located at 4106 Stone Way North and is open daily from 5:00 – 10:00 pm, with happy hour offerings from 5:00 – 6:00 pm and 9:00 – 10:00 pm.
