WHY WE HEART THEM

Intelligent, dynamic and driven, Sara is one mover-and-shaker you don’t want to mess with. She graduated from the University of Washington in under three years and recieved her B.A. in Communications with a Minor in Business, all while modeling on the side for Marie Claire, MSN, local fashion boutiques and fashion shows, as well as competing full-time on the USA National Karate team — not too shabby.

For 12 years, Sara competed worldwide and trained at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid and won continuously at the World Cup, Jr Pan American Championships, USA Open and Nationals. But after 13 broken noses, two knee surgeries, five major concussions, and a broken ankle, she decided to take it easy and focus on a less physically demanding role and found herself in a prosperous public relations and marketing career.

Working with one of the top marketing agencies in the nation, Waggener Edstrom, Sara’s success came quickly. Her natural competitive spirit and unique social skills has led her to become a well respected marketing maven and recognizable influencer. “I tend to be a bit of a social butterfly and love to meet new people, network and connect people who have like interests and goals,” says Sara.

Her excitement in connecting others has carved a niche for her in public relations, digital marketing and social media consulting. She works with heavy-hitter clients like Microsoft, Bing, HTC, T-Mobile and Shire. “Those who know me best, know that I have a strong personality. I’m driven and always want more,” says Sara. “If I am not being challenged, then I am not succeeding in life. My career has always been my priority, but I still manage to make time for those I love.”

She is multi-talented, ambitious and beautiful, Sara is a real triple threat. She is fluent in Farsi, loves to travel the world, especially Egypt, Italy, France, Brazil, Venezuela, England, and Central America, and is obsessed with fashion and fitness. If you’re not already impressed, she is also a regular volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club of Bellevue Teen Center and the Union Gospel Mission of Seattle. Her community outreach was recently recognized by her company, where she was named “Citizen of the Month” in February by Waggener Edstrom.
