Local innovators and young business leaders invite you to help Japan.
In the wake of the 9.0 earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan on March 11th, people from all over the world felt a collective pull to assist in the rebuilding of Japan. The Young Business Professionals of Seattle are organizing a Cocktail Benefit Party called “Help Japan” on Thursday, April 14th at The Triple Door to raise funds for the Japan Red Cross.
The evening will feature live performances and raffles throughout the night, with 100% of the proceeds going to Japan Red Cross. Raffle prizes include: a guitar with guitar case from Mills Brothers Co. and Japanese artwork from Art Exchange, and much much more. The Triple Door will also be donating 10% of the evening’s revenue toward the cause.
“Help Japan” has already generated large support from the Puget Sound community, where everything regarding event production has been donated pro bono. Christine Chen, former Q13 FOX anchor, will be emceeing the night. Jimmy Wong, who made national headlines with his video response to Alexandra Wallace’s anti-Asian YouTube rant, will also make a special guest appearance.
“The recent events in Japan are incredibly tragic, but it’s inspirational to witness Seattle galvanizing and supporting a good cause,” said Tera Shimada, co-host and event lead. “It speaks volumes about the heart and integrity of the Northwest.”
“Help Japan” invites everyone to a night of networking and charity. Hundreds of Young Business Professionals are expected to attend — come one, come all, the more the merrier.
