Lord of the Rings in Concert: One Night With the Fellowship

Taking your movie experience to the next level—live in concert from Middle-earth.

The average movie outing is getting more and more interactive and high-tech these days—but it doesn’t get much spiffier than viewing one of the most iconic films of the decade on a 60-foot screen accompanied by a live performance by more than 200 musicians of the film’s Academy Award and Grammy winning score. We’d say that they are definitely upping the ante this time around with The Lord of the Rings In Concert: The Fellowship of the Ring.

This spectacular, one-of-a-kind performance will take place on October 19, 2011 at the KeyArena, followed by the performance of The Two Towers in 2012 and The Return of the King in 2013. Each tour of these films is in commemoration of the 10-year anniversaries of their release.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy was the sixth highest-grossing film series of all time and went on to win 17 out of the 30 Academy Awards it was nominated for. The films’ epic scores by Canadian composer Howard Shore collectively won two Oscars for Best Original Score for a Motion Picture as well as a Golden Globe and three Grammy awards.

Now, nearly 200 musicians composed of the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Chorale, and Phoenix Boys Choir and conducted by the distinguished Maestro Ludwig Wicki will bring this illustrious score to life. Fans are invited to journey into the world of Tolkien’s Middle-earth in a unique and tremendous way they have yet to experience.

In addition to this thrilling performance, an exhibit of props from the trilogy including Frodo’s sword, Gimli’s battle-axe, and even a pair of Hobbit feet will be on display prior to the show.

Tickets can be purchased online, or by calling (800) 745-3000.
