etsyRAIN: Handmade Holiday Crafts For You

Support local, independent artists at this annual trunk show.

What: The 3rd annual etsyRAIN Handmade Holiday Show, scheduled for the biggest shopping weekend of the year, provides shoppers with the chance to buy local, handmade crafts for their loved ones.

Expected to be etsyRAIN’s largest event yet, this year’s show features more than 50 vendors and their quirky creations. Selections include waterproof shower art, mermaid tails, knit wizard beards, business monkey belt buckles, crocheted golden snitch ornaments and peacock pendants, as well as a handful of edible creations.

Be sure to arrive early — the first 50 shoppers through the door automatically receive a complimentary swag bag, full of goodies crafted by etsyRAIN artists. Currently, the group has more than 1,000 members.

Who: Shoppers looking for high-quality, locally crafted gifts will enjoy the show’s electic inventory of handmade gifts.

When: Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 26 – 27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: This year, the show takes place in the lobby of the historic Intiman Theatre, located at Seattle Center.

Why: The handmade crafts at the show are a dozen times better than the standard stocking stuffers you’ll find elsewhere.

How much: This craft show is free to the public, although a suggested $1 donation will go toward DonorsChoose.org to directly benefit Seattle-area schools.
