A hip new twist to the wine tasting experience — all for a good cause.
If you are less interested in discussing a wine’s flavor profile or its “complex, nuanced finish” and more interested in simply tasting and enjoying wine, then check out Vinolution, a new kind of wine tasting event that features up-and-coming Washington wineries.
Wines will be paired with food from celebrity chefs; there will also be music and a live auction.
Vinolution is chaired by Christophe Hedges from the Hedges Family Estate winery and Justin Wylie from the Va Piano Vineyard. Participating wineries include: aMaurice, Ambassador, Boomtown, Charles Smith Wines, Dunham Cellars, Dusted Valley Vintners, Efeste, Goedhart Winery, Hedges Family Estate, K Vintners, Maison Bleue, Mark Ryan Winery, Pomum Cellars, Sleight of Hand, Sparkman Cellars, Va Piano Vineyard, Whidbey Island Winery, and Zero One Vintners.
Although Vinolution focuses on wine, there will also be local spirits and beer from Glass Vodka, Oola Distillery, Pike Brewing Company, and ZAC Mezcal.
Tickets cost $95 and proceeds benefit the Market Foundation, which supports services for low-income and elderly residents of downtown Seattle–this includes the Downtown Food Bank, Pike Market Senior Center, Pike Market Childcare & Preschool, and Pike Market Medical Clinic.
When: Friday, June 22 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Where: West 8th Office Building. (2001 8th Ave, Seattle)
How much: $95. Purchase tickets online or by phone at (206) 236-6167.
