AYR is headed to Seattle on Saturday! AYR will be hosting a Fall launch event at Nordstrom Bellevue this Saturday, September 26th from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. AYR Founder & Brand Director, Maggie Winter, will introduce the Fall Collection, followed by an afternoon of cocktails and shopping.
Debuting February 2014, AYR introduces elevated classics for women, focused in refined aesthetics, superior fit, and luxe fabrics with an emphasis on the details. A cohesive collection that is designed with a buy-now, wear-now philosophy – classic pieces integrate easily into your wardrobe, enduring season after season. With a foundation in denim, and an offering of knits, sweaters and outerwear, AYR was created to provide edited, effortless essentials—wearable all year round.
After almost a decade in merchandising at J.Crew, AYR Brand Director Maggie Winter sought to fill a void in the women’s market for high quality classics with a better fit. “We wanted to simplify wardrobing, both in product and process. Women are educated consumers and lead full, busy lives. We find value in versatility and convenience, and need clothes that are as hardworking as we are. We’ve spent years shopping for ourselves, searching for that brand that offers excellent design, an edited assortment, and easy accessibility.
For us, AYR is the answer,” says Winter.
AYR’s foundation includes silk crepe blouses, weightless button-downs and tunics in cotton and silk voile and sweaters in Italian Merino, baby Alpaca, and Scottish cashmere, blazers and shorts—with outerwear including denim jackets, silk parkas and plush Italian wool robes, meant to live all year round. The introduction of dresses, shorts and non-denim bottoms is complimented by expansion in all categories, including outerwear and sweaters for Fall 2014.
