Fall Staycation: Getaway at the Grand Hyatt Seattle

Take an urban retreat in a luxury hotel downtown.

Once you step into the modern and extravagant Grand Hyatt Seattle, it feels like the ultimate escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are great views of the Pacific Northwest, including of Lake Union, Puget Sound, and Olympic and Cascade Mountain Ranges. Conveniently located in the heart of Seattle’s thriving retail and theater district with access to downtown shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. For out-of-towners, it’s just blocks from Pike’s Place Market, the Seattle Waterfront and Seattle Great Wheel, and the Space Needle.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt last weekend with the minimal expectation for some relaxation. Life seems to fast forward as soon as summer ends with end-of-the-year work stress, families coming into town, holidays around the corner, etc. A weekend getaway is the perfect opportunity to pause, refresh, and feel energized for the upcoming week.

The lobby is expansive with wood furniture and original artwork and the service is impeccable and efficient. The rooms are comfortable with impressive views of our beautiful city. We had many restaurant choices within a few blocks of the hotel and found a nice meal for dinner (though there’s a Blue C Sushi and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse on the first floor). Afterward, we headed down to the Health Club to use the sauna, steam room, and hot tub. After returning to the room, we enjoyed “The Me Experience” with a soothing bath using a fragrant bath bomb, body scrub, and lotion. We went to bed feeling calm and relaxed and woke up feeling renewed.

Overall, one of the most relaxing hotel stays and something we will seriously consider to implement as a quarterly mini-vacation. It’s so important to remember to stop and take some time for ourselves—away from the busyness of our everyday lives—to feel pampered!

For just $25 your own personal “Bath Butler” will draw an invigorating bath to refresh you after a long day of shopping or exploring the city. The new bath amenities include:
