Hangout Music Festival is May 20-22 on Alabama’s Sandy White Beaches

The forecast is calling for rain—and possibly some snow showers—for the next 15 days. Whether you’re a native Seattleite or a transplant, you’ve probably learned that you need some serious inner happiness (and maybe the assistance of a happy light and vitamin D) to get through Seattle’s soggy winters. Another strategy is to plan warm-weather getaways while we less than patiently await Seattle’s gorgeous summers.

On May 20-22, Hangout Music Festival brings you a concert and beach vacation experience all in one. You will dance, sway, bounce—whatever your style—to amazing music at the the first and only festival of it’s kind surrounded by palm trees of Gulf Shores in Alabama.

Tickets: $249 through January 31st! Prices increase on February 1st.

VIP: $1099 for access to a stage-side pool, VIP Grove, VIP main stage viewing areas, drinks and food, super nice private bathrooms and VIP entrances, and other surprises. $1599 gets you all that and more, including rides in golf cart shuttles to+from stages, access to a stage-side hot tub, gourmet food from renowned local chefs, and a private VIP air-conditioned dining room.

Lineup: headliners include The Weeknd, Calvin Harris, Alabama Shakes, Ellie Goulding, Florence + the Machines, and Cage the Elephant. Other awesome artists we love include Thomas Jack’s summery blends, dreamy electro rock by BØRNS, and Atlas Genius—listening to their track, “Trojans“, will make you feel like things will be okay. Take a peek at the full lineup here.

Getting there: Fly into the Pensacola, Florida airport about 45 minutes away from Gulf Shores (currently, tickets are in the $400 range). Go to Fly Pensacola for more information. Or, make it a road trip by flying into New Orleans, hanging out on Bourbon Street for a few days, and then driving the 3 hours to the festival from there.

Where to stay: Unlike some other multi-day festivals, Hangout doesn’t require / offer camping. Find a condo, book a hotel, or check out other lodging options here.
