New Foodie Concept Market Main & Vine Opens in Gig Harbor Wednesday, February 3rd

Main & Vine, a new concept grocery store, will officially open its first-ever location on Wednesday, February 3rd in Gig Harbor (approximately 45 minutes south of Seattle). To celebrate the grand opening, Main & Vine will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday at 7:00 am. The first 250 guests will receive a commemorative Main & Vine reusable bag filled with a Simple Truth™ coupon book valued at $30, growler, cedar plank, cutting board, spatula, magnet and more.

“From the beginning, the focus of Main & Vine has always been centered on the community and fresh, local and sustainable foods, as well as mainstream grocery items available at affordable prices,” said Dann Kohl, Main & Vine’s store manager. “Residents now have a space to explore local brands and purveyors, get inspired for their next meal, learn something new at the Event Center or meet up with friends and family in our café area.”

2016-01-29_1549Throughout grand opening weekend (February 5-7th), shoppers can enjoy a variety of daily events ranging from performances from local musicians and artists and food and beverage tastings with local purveyors to Kids in the Kitchen classes and Foodie Facts sessions. Whereas the typical grocery store places produce along the perimeter, and frozen and conventional items in the center of the floor, Main & Vine highlights a large selection of produce and bulk items along with an Event Center in the middle of the store. Fresh features at the Event Center include programming where shoppers can enjoy cooking demonstrations, food and beverage tastings, and find new recipe ideas and ingredients as part of the “What’s for Dinner Tonight” program.

2016-01-29_1556Main & Vine also has several offerings and departments allowing for a one-stop shopping experience, including the following:

  • In addition to specialty and everyday items, Main & Vine will offer limited run “Surprise & Delight” items – ranging from local to artisan goods such as specialty cheeses and imported wines.
  • Prepared foods are available at the Grab & Go wall, and the Gig Harbor Kitchen allows for customers to indulge in daily cooked meals such as fresh dumplings, house-baked focaccia pizza, sushi and other delectable Main & Vine chef creations that rotate each day.
  • The brew and blend café area serves Cutters Point Coffee Co. offerings along with wine, beer and spirits tastings during select times.
  • Located at the store entrance and near customer check out is the mezzanine seating area. Accommodating up to 100, the space provides a full panoramic view of the store and allows customers to indulge in items from the Gig Harbor Kitchen or Grab and Go Wall, along with beverages from the brew and blend bar. The store offers complimentary Wi-Fi and each table in the mezzanine and brew and blend bar includes a charging station.

Main & Vine is open daily from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.
