New Constitution Clothing (NCC) is a Bellevue-based company featuring unisex clothing designed to provide a longer, slimmer, tailored fit. It gives a sophisticated look, complementing your frame no matter your size. The logo is subtle, and the fit, look, and feel of the designs speak for themselves. NCC uses high-quality Peruvian cotton and you can feel the difference. We had the chance to sit down with owner, Brandon Harkless, to talk about his company.

What was your inspiration for starting New Constitution Clothing?

Growing up, I was tall and skinny, and it was difficult to find clothing that fit. I used to staple the sleeves of my t-shirts to make them smaller. Eventually, I starting having my shirts tailored. Many of my friends had the same problem and my dream was to design clothing that had a longer, slimmer, tailored look.

Oftentimes, traditional sizing grades tend to accommodate for larger sizes with increased width, but little or no increase in length. We have carefully designed our unique sizing chart to reflect NCC’s philosophy. We also provide a tall version for every size.

What are your best sellers? 

Our best sellers are definitely our zip-up hoodies with the mock collar. These have been really popular.

What is your vision for NCC? 

My goal for NCC is to continually be sensitive to the needs and desires of clothing buyers, and to continually provide excellent products and excellent customer service. We’re always looking to improve in every area of our business. We envision adding several more designs within the next several months.

We recently introduced these henley shirts and will soon restock and carry them in a variety of colors. We also have some checkered flannels on the way in several different designs. These are soft Peruvian cotton—not your run-of-the-mill flannels.

Where can we buy your clothes? 

Currently, our products are available online exclusively. We offer free shipping on orders over $50. No need to worry if you don’t like an item, or if it doesn’t fit the way you want it to. We have an unconditional return policy as long as the clothing hasn’t been washed or worn (beyond trying it on).
