Washington’s seaside resort is a premier lodging experience.
Located on the Semiahmoo Spit, the Semiahmoo Resort is located on the pristine shores of Semiahmoo Bay and Drayton Harbor two hours north of Seattle. It features two restaurants, numerous amenities and outdoor activities, and two challenging and highly acknowledged public golf courses (Semiahmoo Golf & Country Club and Loomis Golf Trail Club). The tide pools and estuaries provide a sanctuary for Pacific Northwest wildlife. They recently completed a multi-million dollar restoration last June inspired by its seaside location.

// THE RESORT //
The setting is peaceful and the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are very reasonably priced—depending on the weekend, but on average—under $200 per night. The waterview rooms are worth the extra bit. Semiahmoo is also dog-friendly and they provide a bed and bowls! Bring your furry four-legged friend along for the crisp, clean air.
The resort has a large outdoor pool, covered hot tub, and sauna+steam rooms. A workout room with updated Precor equipment and a track as well as indoor and outdoor tennis courts and racquetball help you stay active while on vacation. Don’t worry about packing your own; You can borrow racquets from the front desk.
The waterfront lawn is full of fun activities including volleyball, croquet, frisbee, and BBQs starting in May. They have nightly bonfires with s’mores on the beach.
The Spa at Semiahmoo
We were pampered by skilled technicians utilizing the highest-quality, pure skin care products – among them Sea Flora, Dr. Alkaitis, Sacred Earth Botanicals, Spa Rituals and Jane Iredale. The spa offers massage therapy, skin care, hand and foot care, and shared couples treatments.

// WHERE TO EAT //
Pierside Kitchen
Pierside Kitchen serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner and features fresh, seasonally inspired cuisine. Due to its seaside location and proximity to farms and ranches, diners will experience local and regional bounty. There’s an expansive open kitchen featuring a wood-fired oven used for a variety of dishes, included their freshly made pizzas.
For dinner, we enjoyed the Albacore Tuna was a sesame crust and shaved jalapeno as a starter. The fish was fresh and seasoned well. For entrees, the Roasted Pacific Halibut was cooked precisely with celeriac puree, crispy porcini mushrooms, and chive oil. Housemade Pappardelle Pasta with carrots, hazelnuts, snow peats, pancetta, and basil was one of the top pasta dishes we’ve had in a long time.
Packer’s Oyster Bar
The menu at Packer’s features oysters on-the-half-shell, sliders, burgers, and fish ‘n chips. Enjoy a 180-degree view of Drayton Harbor while you eat.
