The Cirque du Soleil extravaganza has pitched its big top in Marymoor Park in Redmond for the next four weeks, with its final performance on November 4th. Volta explores the themes of celebrating differences and unique qualities in a world where technology often isolates people from one another rather than freeing them. While the storyline is a bit fragmented, the spectacle and remarkable human performances are astonishing and delightful.
New stunts this year include BMX bikes performing air-defying feats on giant ramps. There’s this powerful contrasting scene with a ballet dancer and a BMX rider and it’s stunning and contradictory.
