40% of all the food produced in the U.S. goes uneaten every year. To help drive awareness and change, Imperfect Foods partnered with Chef Joel Gamoran and restaurants across Seattle to show how substantial one city’s impact on food recovery can be. Starting today, Imperfect aims to save 500 lbs of food from going to waste in the city. Imperfect Foods will also donate portions of proceeds from all items sold during the week to Food Lifeline.
Available from 2/24-3/1, Imperfect Foods items will be incorporated into menus at the following partner restaurants:
- Cafe Juanita: Winter citrus, whipped ricotta, peperoncini, preserved fennel, pignoli crostada
