SMPLSTC is a California-based brand that creates flavored CBD products to target specific ailments. When asked about the brand’s name, founder Conor Denman says “We wanted a word to represent how we provide our service and products, ‘simple’. Wellness should be made simple.” Staying true to the brand ethos, their products promise to be simple, fuss-free and effective and they offer a well-rounded series of organic, full-spectrum CBD tinctures.

We tried the ‘Sleep’ formula, and it has really helped in relaxing and unwinding before bed. Mixing it with my chamomile tea about half an hour before bedtime was the sweet spot. What I really liked was that there was no feeling of lethargy the next morning, only a sense of restored energy levels.
We spoke to Conor Denman to know more about the company and its products…
Seattleite: Could you tell me a bit about your background?
Conor: My background in business is pretty simple. I owned a company before this that ended up not working out to my disappointment so I decided I was going to try and learn a bit more about products and branding. I started at FIDM in 2016 for product development and merchandising and just absorbed everything there is to know about product and branding in general.
Seattleite: What is the story behind SMPLSTC?
Conor: After school – I was golfing with my dad and he pulled out a bottle of CBD. I asked what it was and he explained it helped him with muscle soreness. I said why not try it for myself and used it before our golf round. I played one of the best rounds of my life. I was relaxed, calm, and focused all at the same time. I was very intrigued by this and started doing more research. I fell in love with the science and knew with my business and branding background, I could deliver a product for the everyday consumer. I met with my now two business partners and started collaborating with them. We threw a few dollars each at this and started eagerly. I was using my apartment at the time for shipping and storage until we outgrew that and needed to get an office and needed to hire people. We grew from just us to now having 12 employees who cover sales, shipping, and marketing.
Seattleite: How do SMPLSTC products work?
Conor: We have countless testimonials of our products helping individuals on a daily basis. SMPLSTC’s motto is “Wellness Made Simple” we create products that are easy to use, taste great, and work even better without hurting the bank. SMPLSTC also creates products that target certain ailments that people suffer from anxiety, muscle pain, and sleep.
Seattleite: What do you think of the global industry when it comes to CBD?
Conor: This industry continues to grow and change every day. The global market looks very good at the moment, but that can always change. Some countries look at CBD being THC products and that’s a hurdle we consistently have to address. CBD is non-psychoactive so it doesn’t get you high. I personally think CBD has an incredible future here in the states and I don’t know how well it will do in other countries.
