Another holiday is here and we’re still in lockdown. I think if you’re able, now is the time to #treatyourself because you probably saved some money on those flights and hotels you didn’t have to book or all those gifts for your aunts/uncles/nieces/nephews/grandparents you didn’t have to buy this year.

Seattle’s own Metropolitan Grill is offering several options for meals at home if you’re looking to splurge a little. Their kits serve 2-4 people depending on your needs. You choose from one main dish (prime rib, Kurobuta Ham, lamb or seasoned Chateaubriand) and four sides (roasted potatoes, grilled asparagus, tomato gratin and sourdough bread) accompanies it. It also includes dessert—a spiced pear bread pudding! Price ranges from $115-$175 depending on which main dish you select. The way I like to think about it is—I get paid $x amount per hour at my job, it would several hours to cook this meal and to be honest, it probably won’t be as good. We aren’t even factoring the time and money it takes to research recipes and go grocery shopping to buy all the ingredients.

Date nights aren’t what they used to be anymore, but if you want to remind the one you love that you still got it, there’s a “Holiday Date Night with Delille,” a three course meal (with sides) that includes a bottle of wine for $215. Maybe a little pricey for a “Netflix and Chill” date night, but how many dates have y’all gone on in the last year? Think about the money you saved! If you want to have some fun in the kitchen and make it more of a “Cook and Chill” night, there’s the “Chateau Dinner Gift Box” ($215) that comes with cooking instructions and a bottle of wine to accompany your meal….or while you’re cooking.

If you’ve already got other plans or meat isn’t your thing (calling all the vegetarians & vegans), you can ring in the New Year with a Champagne party pack because who isn’t ready to say goodbye to 2020? I think we all deserve a bottle of Champagne or two (or three) after the year we’ve had. For $75, you get a bottle of Taittinger Brut (big fan of it, personally), two gold champagne glasses and silver and gold glitter confetti pops. 2021, we’re ready for ya!
