“After an incredibly difficult year for artists, fans and our local creative community, we’re excited to celebrate the return of live music by providing a new platform to revive the festival scene in Seattle,” said Daydream State executive director Jason Lajeunesse. “For this new single-stage event, our goal was to curate complementary and diverse daily lineups that offer the city’s music lovers a two-day mixtape experience to close out the summer.”
As part of the City of Seattle’s ongoing equitable recovery efforts, the Seattle Fire Department and DAY IN • DAY OUT are partnering to provide 100 FREE one-day festival tickets to those who get their vaccine at Welcome Back Week pop-up clinic sites later this month (more info here). Additionally, the festival will host the launch of Bloodworks Northwest’s campaign, Music’s In My Blood, aimed at attracting 10,000 donors between Labor Day weekend and year’s end to combat our region’s historic blood supply deficit.
