W Seattle is known to be one of Seattle’s most iconic and luxurious hotels, with spacious rooms and trendy amenities. Located in the heart of downtown, W Seattle is moments from some of the city’s most popular attractions like Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, and the Seattle Art Museum. You can sip on a cocktail and enjoy live music on select nights at the vibrant Living Room Bar inside the hotel. It is also home to TRACE Market, which offers seasonal fare for dine-in, take-out, and grab-and-go options.
Now there is even more reason to stay at the W Seattle, with the launch of Faces, a love letter to Seattle and an artistic celebration of the city’s unique neighborhoods and the people that live in them. The Faces are hand-painted original murals by Morgan Zion, W Seattle’s resident artist.
Select guest rooms on the 14th floor of W Seattle are now home to these hand-painted murals. Each room displays a unique portrait of a person who represents the spirit of Seattle along with its vibrant culture. A personalized story is woven into each face, showcasing the activities that those Seattleites love to do, the music they love to listen to, neighborhoods they love to play and live in, hidden gems they enjoy, and the diversity they represent. Each persona was imagined and created as a labor of love by Morgan Zion, the artist.

“Faces at W Seattle was created as an immersive art experience to instill a sense of community and spark wanderlust for our guests in the city we love,” said Greg Campbell, Director of Sales and Marketing at W Seattle. “The face mural in each room is linked in spirit to a different Seattle neighborhood, which we invite guests to explore during their stay. A QR code leads them to a dedicated landing page for each neighborhood, which shows them that face’s favorite restaurants, coffee shops, retailers, and more.”
As W Seattle’s resident artist, Morgan Zion has painted several large murals throughout the property, including the ones in TRACE Market. You can often spot her immersed in creativity, painting throughout the hotel. She also teaches yoga classes for guests and is well known in the Seattle community.
