Seattle Area Restaurants Raise Money for Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund

This month, dozens of Seattle and greater Seattle area restaurants, cafes, bakeries, boba shops, and retailers are raising money for Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, a nonprofit nongovernmental organization founded in 1992 that provides aid and medical care to children in the Middle East.

Taylor Cheney, the chef and owner of Capitol Hill’s Yalla, has been leading the charge since mid-October and has since raised thousands of dollars for the fund.

Each restaurant chooses the time and day of their fundraiser, so please follow their pages to see which day or days they choose. Today, Saturday, November 11th, Fat’s Chicken will join their sister restaurants Cuidad, Darkalinos, and Mezzanotte in donating 15% of sales to the fund. Also today, Ballard’s Miro Tea will be donating 100% of sales to the relief efforts. Homer and Milk Drunk on Beacon Hill will donate 100% of sales of soft serve ice cream on Sunday, November 12th. Saint Bread is donating proceeds from their chocolate chip cookies through this Sunday.

Next week, Beacon Hill’s Musang and CID’s Kilig will donate 15% of sales on November 17th.

For details about individual fundraising efforts, check social media pages for the participating eateries, which are listed below in alphabetical order (the list below was compiled and posted by Tan Vinh, Seattle Times).
