Another gift that’s perfect for wine lovers is a bottle (or two!) from Bodegas Valdemar. Bodegas Valdemar spans 130 years of family winemaking in Rioja, Spain, and is currently one of the most prestigious international brands that carries the Rioja brand around the world. The Valdemar family has worked for five generations with their own vineyards to produce distinctive Spanish wines with a strong unique character. These wines are great for sharing with family and friends over a meal, or gifting to the wine aficionado in your life. Shop their wines here.

Surprise a loved one with a thoughtfully curated gift basket from Made in Washington. Local to Seattle, Made in Washington started in Pike Place Market’s Post Alley, and is the first store that brought an entirely new concept to our area: a wide variety of quality products made in Washington State by local makers, artists, craftspeople, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. There’s a gift basket for everyone, whether it’s the Seafood Lover Gift Set, the Movie Night in a Box, the Coffee Fix Gift Set or one of the many others. Shop their gift baskets here.

Support a wonderful woman-owned business and female winemakers by gifting a membership with Iola Wines. Iola Wines is a Seattle-based bottle house and wine club that focuses on introducing members to naturally made wines produced by female winemakers in France and Italy. For the most part, European vineyards are (still!) handed down to the male heir, so female winemakers in both countries are quite rare. Iola Wines founder Marilee Bramhall’s mission is to highlight these wonderful women and to bring exceptional wines to U.S. palates. In addition to the bottle shop, there are five different wine clubs: Club Rouge and a Petit Rouge for red wine lovers, Connoisseur Club offering a variety of the best selections, Club Lumiere for white wine, and, of course, a Sparkling Club. Check out all of the offerings here.

For the scotch lover in your life, gift them a special edition cocktail kit from Drambuie, a Scotch Whisky Liqueur and the staple ingredient in the classic Rusty Nail cocktail. Crafted with Scottish heather honey and a proprietary blend of herbs and spices, Drambuie has a complex, sweet and spicy flavor and a rich, silky mouthfeel that leaves a sweet lingering finish. Drambuie is well-suited to complement a variety of coffee cocktails perfect for the holiday season. The special edition pack features an Iced Espresso cocktail kit including a bottle of Drambuie and special iced espresso cocktail glass, in addition to a recipe and instructions to stir up the delicious java drink at home. Shop the cocktail kit here.

Another great gift for scotch lovers is the Speyburn 10 Year Speyside Single Malt and the Old Pulteney 12 Year Highland Single Malt. Both of these are widely available single malt scotches that carry significant age statements. Of course, they taste indulgent on their own, but they also happen to be priced in an affordable range that justifies taking full advantage of their flavor complexities for a mixed drink. No shame in that cocktail game. Both Speyburn and Old Pulteney are available at retailers, restaurants and bars or can be purchased online at ReserveBar.com and Drizly.com.
