The Auction of Washington Wines’ Winemaker Picnic Returns on August 15

One of our favorite events of the summer, the Auction of Washington Wines’ Winemaker Picnic, is returning to the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery’s beautiful grounds on August 15! This is the Chateau’s largest wine and culinary event.

At the Winemaker Picnic, attendees can enjoy dishes from more than a dozen Seattle-area restaurants alongside pours from more than 50 wineries from across the state. There will be a sparkling wine tasting bar, a rosé bar, and many roaming winemakers pouring across the lawn, which means your glass will never be empty!

Attendees will also have a chance to taste barrel samples from more than 30 wineries at the concurrent Barrel Auction and support the mission of the Auction of Washington Wines. This is the sole opportunity to taste these exclusive wines, produced for the Barrel Auction. The evening will also have lawn games, a DJ, and dancing!

Meet over 100 talented winemakers face-to-face, explore the tasting bars and vintner stations, and indulge in delicious bites from each chef station and soak in the vibrant atmosphere alongside the best of the Washington wine industry. Get in on the fun wine games and bid on future release wines at the lively Barrel Auction.

The 9th annual Winemaker Picnic is organized by the Auction of Washington Wines, which raises funds for Seattle Children’s, WSU’s Viticulture & Enology program, and Vital, an organization that provides healthcare services for vineyard workers.
