Olympic’s Lake Quinault Lodge Celebrates 100 Years

For 100 years, Lake Quinault Lodge has welcomed travelers from all over the world to Olympic National Park. This year, the iconic lodge, nestled along the shores of Lake Quinault, celebrates its centennial with a season of special events honoring its rich history, enduring architecture, and legacy as a gateway to Olympic National Park.

Built in 1926 in just 53 days, Lake Quinault Lodge has become one of the Pacific Northwest’s most recognizable historic lodges, offering visitors an authentic connection to the Quinault Rain Forest, one of the world’s few temperate rainforests. President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s 1937 visit to the region helped shape the future of Olympic National Park, and the lodge continues to honor that legacy through the Roosevelt Dining Room.

To commemorate its 100th anniversary, Lake Quinault Lodge is hosting a series of public events throughout the month of September through Aramark Destinations’ latest initiative, Landmarks of Legacy:

Labor Day BBQ (September 7): A family-friendly lakeside barbecue celebrating the close of summer.

Prime Rib Dinner with Live Music (September 11): Guests can enjoy one of the lodge’s signature dining experiences in the Roosevelt Dining Room while taking in live music.

Historical Fireside Chat (September 11): An evening of storytelling around the lodge’s iconic fireplace reflecting on 100 years of history, hospitality, and the people who shaped its legacy.

Lake Quinault Lodge Centennial Celebration (September 19): The signature anniversary event featuring festivities that honor the lodge’s first century and celebrate the memories made by generations of guests.
