As part of its partnership with the Seattle Seahawks, American Express is bringing one-of-a-kind experiences, such as Hawks Island, to the 12s! Returning for the second year, Hawks Island is the ultimate gameday experience that includes special appearances from Seahawks legends, pre-game party activities, and premium food and beverages from some of Seattle’s favorite eateries. It all takes place on a 200-foot+ barge (the length of over two basketball courts) off of Pier 66 in the Puget Sound.

With 2:34 left in the first quarter of the football game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks, Bradley Pinion of the Niners booted a beautiful-looking punt 61 yards downfield in what looked like a perfect kick to pin Russell Wilson and company deep in their own territory. Taking an Emerald City bounce, the ball eventually rolled and rolled and rolled before lightly kissing the pylon, resulting in a touchback to the Seattle 25.

Late spring is on its way and we’re well on our way to summer. Maybe I’ve said this every year and I’ll say it again—this year has really flown by! Here’s a guide to some of my favorite hikes in the North Bend / Snoqualmie region, about 40 minutes east on I-90 from Seattle.
We put together a list of runs and walks happening in and around the Seattle area in April and May. This isn’t an exhaustive list; there are many more happening every weekend. Everyone is welcome to these participate in these events, no matter your ability. You can run, jog, or walk. Grab some friends, make a playlist, and get outside! Stay active and fit while having fun and contributing to a good cause.
Wish you could hang out with the entire Seattle Sounders team? Wish granted. You can purchase a ticket for a casual team meet and greet at Queen Anne Beerhall next Wednesday. All players and coaches will be in attendance, with the event hosted by new radio play-by-play broadcaster Matt Johnson. Proceeds benefit Sounders community partners.
