The national spirit of Peru, Pisco, is a brandy-like spirit made from distilled grape juice. The team at La Mar – dedicated to sharing the diverse flavors of Peruvian gastronomy is celebrating Pisco Month all February long. There’s one more week to enjoy their specials and to help raise funds for underprivileged students in Peru seeking an education in the culinary arts.
La Mar has introduced an expanded menu of pisco-based cocktails sponsored by Caravedo Pisco, with $1 of each cocktail sold going towards the Pachacútec Culinary Institute in Peru. The school, founded by renowned chef, restaurateur and creator of La Mar, Gastón Acurio, teaches students Peruvian cuisine, kitchen techniques, nutrition, and English language skills. The goal for Pisco Month 2025, celebrated at several of Chef Acurio’s restaurants around the world, is to collectively raise $20,000 for the school.
