Forget the cheesy halftime shows and trivial gridiron rivalries, the real Super Bowl — the one that gets our blood boiling and hearts racing — is next month. And it calls for more of a celebration than pigskin-shaped sliders and triple-cheese chili.

Taste Washington, the Super Bowl of Washington Wine events, features more than 200 Washington state wineries each pouring up to three of their wines, and more than 75 leading Seattle-area restaurants offering mouth-watering bites at Qwest Field Event Center on March 27.

The lineup includes hip new restaurants, boutique wineries and historic establishments. Quite simply, Taste Washington is the country’s largest single-region wine and food event — and it appeals to all kinds of Seattleites.

If you know a bit about wine but want to know more, Taste Washington is the place to go. If you’re a wine enthusiast who wants to try new releases, or if you want to know why Washington state is gaining worldwide recognition as the producer of some incredible wine, this event is for you.

The VIP tasting is 2-4 p.m. ($125 or two for $240); general admission is 4-7 p.m. ($75). If you’re looking for the biggest and the best, get your tickets now!
