WHERE: O’Asian Kitchen | 800 5th Ave., Suite Plaza 1, Seattle | (206) 264-1789

THE BUZZ:Low lighting, hospitality and clinking martini glasses contribute to the O’Asian Kitchen intimate dining experience. Set on 5th Avenue’s 800 block, this Chinese-inspired restaurant knows how to turn a large space into a cultural hide-away.

O’Asian Kitchen’s own Iron Chef prepares fresh Dim Sum, originally a Cantonese custom, daily during Seattle’s lunch rush. Perfect for any lunch party, these individual dumplings allow a health conscious eater to opt for a vegetarian roll while providing the more robust flavor-seeking individual with a baked barbeque pork bun.

Although Dim Sum offers most dinners enough variety to satiate their appetites, a special menu is put on reserve for those regulars who know to ask for it. Regulars also know O’Asian Kitchen customizes dishes to accommodate food allergies or even cravings not found on the menu.

MSG free, the public can feel good about their dining choice while at O’Asian Kitchen, and can relax knowing that validated parking is free after four. Even if one variety of Dim Sum was missed today, you can bet it will be there tomorrow, another fresh batch, unique to the day, but good all the same.

FAST FACT: Guest chef and loyal customer, Brendan O’Farrell, frequents the O’Asian kitchen to whip up impromptu dishes. He loves to share, just ask!
