Serafina: 20 Years Old And More Fun Than Ever

The famous Italian eatery is hosting a festive birthday bash — and everyone’s invited.

What: The owner and staff members of Serafina — as well as sister restaurant, Cicchetti — would like Seattleites to come party with them on Sunday, May 29. The day-long extravaganza will be reminiscent of the colorful street festivals that are common throughout Italy, complete with live music, flowing wine and chefs grilling sausage on the patio.

The outdoor event will pop the proverbial cork for Summer of Serafina, a year-long promotion that celebrates the restaurant’s 20th birthday and welcomes the sunny weather to Seattle. As long as the clouds are clear for the rest of 2011, Serafina’s guests are encouraged to dine and revel in the elegant atmosphere of their charming open-air courtyard.

Why: Twenty in “restaurant years” is a long time to maintain status as a local favorite, as well as a destination for adventurous diners. Known for its romantic setting, garden patio, live music, warm service and authentically fresh Italian fare, Serafina is a culinary mainstay in Seattle. Summer of Serafina is not just a celebration — but also a thank-you to the community for its loyalty and support throughout the past two decades, as well as a look ahead at the years to come.

When: Sunday, May 29th from 1 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Who: For those who love food, drink, entertainment and celebration, Italian-style. Food and drink will be available for $5 each.
