The annual series will begin soon — and this year’s lineup is a true crowd-pleaser.
What: Mark your calendars for the return of a summer favorite! Produced by the Metropolitan Improvement District in cooperation with the Downtown Seattle Association, the uber-popular Out to Lunch Concert Series – now in its 32nd year – will showcase exciting local and national acts each Wednesday and Friday during the lunch hour Downtown. Venues stretch from Pioneer Square to the Denny Triangle.
Who: With 24 shows in all, this year’s eclectic line-up truly has something for everyone. If you prefer indie rock, local favorites The Moondoggies (June 15) and The Maldives (June 24) are sure to entertain. Is country more your style? Pokey LaFarge (July 20) and The Harters (August 19) ought to get your boots stompin’. Citizens of the world will enjoy international flavors such as Celtic rock from The Paperboys (July 1), Brazilian jazz from Jovino Santos Neto (August 3) and Cuban salsa from Orchestra Zarabanda (August 31).
