It’s time to turn up the glitz at one of the hottest annual fashion events around.
Seattleites will be dressed to the nines this Thursday evening for Fashion First, Seattle’s longest running independent fashion show. The 8th annual event will benefit the Rise n’ Shine foundation and take place at the Showbox SODO.
Stylish guests will preview designs by Lizzie Parker, Heilyke and Madina Vadache, as well as discover new Fall 2011 merchandise from independent retailers like Baby & Co., La Ree, Sway & Cake, The Finerie, Chez Chic, Report Footwear, Mercer and Ragamoffyn’s.
Fashion First was founded in 2003 and was created to foster Seattle’s growing fashion industry and provide a greater platform for local independent fashion retailers and designers with a tangible opportunity to showcase their work to the public.
Beyond making a difference with the local fashion community, the event’s philanthropic work has also made waves with charitable causes. Last year, Fashion First raised over $60,000 for Rise n’ Shine, a local charity that provides support for children and teens affected by HIV/AIDS. This year, the event promises to raise another significant amount to help Rise n’ Shine achieve their goals.
The glamorous evening will be buzzing with a fashionable and energetic crowd — it will be the place to be and be seen. Local celebrity, John Curley will be hosting the live auction, and Mandy Moon from Mandy Moon Vintage Jewelry (wife of ex-Husky and NFL QB, Warren Moon) will be closing the fashion show with a grand finale.
Tickets for this glitzy gala range from $50 to $500 — but hurry — space is limited and selling fast. Get your tickets here and get ready to turn up the glam!
