Three chefs to prepare a harvest dinner at the Heathman in Kirkland.
Fall is in the air, and with it comes the urge to cozy up next to a roaring fire with a lover by your side, while drinking a glass of wine and noshing on Northwest fare. There is no better place to do just that than at Trellis Restaurant, located at the Heathman Hotel in Kirkland.
That’s why it gives me great pleasure to announce an upcoming event at the Heathman that entices me like a cat in heat. The Heathman is celebrating its fourth anniversary as Kirkland’s premier, full-service luxury hotel in high style by putting on a harvest dinner that harnesses the talents of not one, not two, but three talented chefs.
That’s right, Chefs Philippe Boulot and Michael Stantonof Heathman Restaurant & Bar in Portland, Ore. will alternate courses with Trellis Executive Chef Brian Scheehserfor to present a five-course meal. Seasonal produce from Chef Scheehser’s 10-acre farm in Woodinville will feature prominently into this lavish feast.
The menu includes a roasted pear salad, sole dieppoise and apple wood smoked duckling among the five courses. Regional wine will be expertly paired with every dish. You can bet each chef will bring his A-game to try and shine above the competition.
That translates to a meal that will get you in the mood for a jaunt in the Jacuzzi in one of Heathman’s well-appointed suites after dinner.
The Fall Harvest Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, following a pre-dinner reception that kicks off at 6:30. A seat at the table costs $85, and the price includes the full dinner and wine pairings. Seating is limited, so be sure to make your reservation soon.
