All Aboard For The Christmas Eve Dinner Cruise

Take to the local waters for a four-course meal in an intimate setting.

Maybe you haven’t made any plans for Christmas Eve yet, but know you don’t want to stay in that evening. Perhaps you’ve promised not to sit through yet another Christmas Eve dinner with Uncle Fred, who wears ugly sweaters and incessantly talks with his mouth full of turkey. Consider 2011 the year you treat yourself to a yacht dinner cruise.

The holiday season is a great time for a moon-lit sail on Lake Union and Lake Washington. Passengers take in the scenery of festively decorated boats and houses along the shoreline as they sip warm cocktails like hot buttered rum and spiced cider. The captain guides the tour, adding interesting facts about Seattle’s history and culture as the vessel visits several city landmarks. Cruises depart from Waterways HomePort on Lake Union in Seattle, as well as the Kirkland City Dock in Marina Park.

Waterways Cruises provides the privacy of your own table — so you won’t have to worry about being seated with strangers who resemble Uncle Fred as you enjoy your four-course meal. With choice offerings like prime rib, lobster tail and hand-made gnocchi, the dinner line-up is sure to please any palate. Finish the meal with a champagne toast and a trip (or two) to the dessert buffet station, which features an assortment of scrumptious holiday pies.
