The restaurant lives up to its name with fantastic fare at a low price.
If UW students are anything like I was back in college, they love Thai food. Pad Thai, to be specific. This ideal comfort food will revitalize after a late night out. Located in the U-District, Amazing Thai offers traditional cuisine at an affordable cost, which makes it appealing to students and non-students alike.

Lunch comes with soup and a bowl of rice if you choose, and the dinner menu is extensive. Best of all, nearly every option costs less than ten bucks!
Meal steals: Amazing Thai’s three best dishes under $10
My friend ordered the Pad Thai ($6.99) and said it was delicious. If you’ve never had this noodle dish with eggs, bean sprouts ground peanuts, green onions and your choice of meat, then you are missing out!
If you like curry, the gaeng panang ($7.99) will hit the spot. Spicy panang curry is cooked with coconut milk, bell peppers and sweet basil. It packs few ingredients, but huge flavor.
A tempting option was the garlic dish ($7.99). Your choice of meat is marinated with garlic, then sautéed with white pepper and garnished with broccoli.
The staff was friendly, service was quick and the food tasted fresh and flavorful. Next time you’re in the area and have a hankering for Thai food, you’ll know where to go!
