A CRAFTy Evening With Cliff Goodman

The legendary artist visits Seattle for a night of music, food and drinks for a cause.

What: Cliff Goodman, known for his glass artwork inspired by nature, will visit the Seattle Glassblowing Studio to share his innovative skills with a charitable audience.

An artist with more than 30 years of professional experience, Goodman’s work can be found in more than 30 galleries around the world. His signature works include wall plates, river rocks, various vases and bowls, custom lighting and hand-blown glass sinks.

For one night only, Goodman will be on hand to help others create glass artwork of their own. Audience members will learn how to blow glass and mold it into fanciful creations. Participants are invited to get their hands a little dirty and create a work of art to be auctioned off at the end of the evening.

Buy your own creation or bid for your creative neighbor’s. Either way, the proceeds go to a good cause. Appetizers and drinks are served for all guests.

Who: Several Seattle musicians will play live during the soirée. The performance schedule includes singer/songwriter Janet Johnson, violinist Pasquale Santos, violin and piano duet Babajaga, cellist John Ames, Zimbabwe-themed Nyamuziwa Marimba Ensemble and guitarist Andre Feriante.

When: Saturday, Jan. 28, from 6 to 10 p.m.

How Much: $25/person or $10 for Concord families. Tickets are available at the door on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Why: Proceeds from the event will go to CRAFT — the arts and education program at Concord International Elementrary School.
