With expansive booths and pizza toppings, Belltown’s #1 pizza kitchen always delivers.

First Avenue in Belltown is ripe with options for a post work cocktail or snack, but only one does it best with a pie propped atop a formidable stand. Having lived in the vicinity of Belltown Pizza for a few years, I’m keenly aware when it comes to the art of dough, cheese, and toppings, no one does it better among the high rise condos.
The eatery/bar’s atmosphere is clean with just enough attitude to make one feel warranted in their pick without holding any pretentious qualities, instead letting the food do the bragging. Fittingly, such praise is muffled through stuffed mouths.

Must Have Eats: It starts with the pie, and ends with the pie. BTP excels in the basics, but brings it home with their specialties that are all $2 during happy hour. Looking to keep is local? The Northwest keeps it actually fairly Italian, boasting prosciutto, Roma tomatoes, Red Onion, and rounds it all out with a pesto sauce. Balancing such cosmopolitan themes, The Meatasauraus brings it back home with Salami, Canadian Bacon (eh, still North America), Italian sausage (geez), Pepperoni, and red onion. God bless…the culinary universe.
Must Have Drinks: Let’s go through the basics: $3 drafts, $3 wells, and $4 glasses of colored wine. The unique flavors come out with $2 PBR tallboys, and a new venture to this column, $5 Stoli cocktails. Worked that much harder today? Don’t be afraid to reward yourself with that Russian mistress.
Also of note are a couple daily specials for mid-week fun. On Tuesdays, for $20 one can enjoy a two-topping large pizza with a bucket of four Session lagers while on Wednesdays, go ditto on the two-topping but throw in a bottle of wine for $25.
Happy Times: Monday through Friday, 4-6 p.m.
