What’s Hot: The Rite of Spring

The Art Institute of Seattle presents their Ready to Wear Spring and Fall 2012 trends.

The 14th annual Student Fashion Show will showcase 80 to 100 outfits designed by students at The  Art Institute of Seattle. These pieces will reveal Ready to Wear trends for Spring and Fall 2012. The fashion show will attract will attract aspiring fashion students, fashion industry leaders, local media and Seattle’s most fashionable crowd.

Who: Local fashion design students from The Art Institute will show-off their Ready to Wear Spring and Fall trends.

The show is entirely produced by Art Institute students with the help of Executive Producer, Joan Kelly, who returns for her fifth year. Named as one of Seattle’s “Top 25 Most Influential Women” in 2007 she is also founder of Seattle’s Fashion First event. With the combination of Kelly’s expert guidance and the creative talent of the students, The Rite of Spring will be a glamorous extravaganza.

Where: The Rite  of Spring will be held at the Showbox SODO (1700 1st Avenue South, Seattle).

When: Thursday, March 8th, first show is at 5 p.m. and second show is at 8 p.m.

How much: General Admission ($20); Reserved Seating ($40); Front Row VIP with Swag Bag ($60). Tickets can be purchased online.

Why: The Art Institute of Seattle created the Student Fashion Show in 1998 to present the work of the talented design students. This production also brings together other students from different departments to create this successful showcase.
