What’s Hot: Blake Shelton at KeyArena

Blake Shelton

A star of the country music scene comes to town “Well Lit & Amplified.”

Reigning “Male Vocalist of the Year” and five-time CMA nominee—including a nod for the most prestigious award, “Entertainer of the Year”—Blake Shelton will perform in Seattle this week. Described by The New York Times as “among the most versatile of contemporary country singers,” Shelton has nine No. 1 hits and has stayed within the Top 10 since 2007. He is also well known for his role as a judge on NBC’s hit show “The Voice.”

“God Gave Me You,” Shelton’s single off his new album Red River Blue, recently broke the Top 10 and is currently his fastest rising single. The Associated Press called Red River Blue “the best album of his career,” as it debuted at No. 1 on the Soundscan Top Current Albums chart and the Soundscan Top Country Albums chart.

Shelton’s No. 1 hit off Red River Blue, “Honey Bee,” is his first digital Platinum single. “Honey Bee” makes him a record holder for the fastest-selling digital Platinum single for a male country solo artist. It held the Billboard Country chart’s No. 1 spot for four weeks in a row with more than 40 million in audience, which no country artist has done in almost six years. This single is also Shelton’s fourth consecutive No. 1 hit, in addition to “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking,” “All About Tonight” and “Hillbilly Bone.”
