Celebrate Seattle’s trendiest threads inside the city’s most iconic landmark.
Whether painted orange (or more specifically “Galaxy Gold”) to pay homage to its original paint job in honor of its 50th birthday or rocking the Sonics logo to show support for the team making it to the playoffs, the Space Needle is well-versed in making a splash. Come Saturday, April 14, Seattle’s most iconic landmark will be making headlines yet again, only this time, keeping the hoopla indoors.
For the first time in its 48 year history, the Space Needle will host a fashion fest extravaganza, as Seattle Metro Spring Fashion Days’ First Annual “Fashion at the Needle” celebrates Seattle’s creativity and dedication to serving the community.
Venue aside, this charity runway show is different than most. Tickets range from $50 (general admission) to $250 (VIP preferred seating) and the proceeds benefit a cause or nonprofit of the guests’ choosing, whether that be a specific organization such as the Jubilee Women’s shelter or a more general cause such as animal shelters.
Attendees to this formal, black tie (mandatory) event can expect a full day of Northwest fashion and complimentary lunch snacks in the swanky Skyline Room. Those who choose to go the VIP route can also enjoy a gourmet continental brunch, front row seating, access to the silent auction with thousands of dollars worth of items, valet parking, and an awesome swag bag.
And the runway show isn’t a brief, one-look collection. Rather, “Fashion at the Needle” will feature four different fashion shows, catering to everyone from children to brides.
