Come see Regina Spektor seduce the crowd at the Paramount Theater.
Move over J Lo, another diva from the Bronx has emerged, and she’s certainly a force to be re-conned with; since her arrival to the main stage circa 2001, Regina Spektor has been producing the “wow” factor one performance after the next. Regina’s obsession for music was developed at a young age as the offspring of a music teacher and violinist.

After experiencing young life in Russia before the crash of the Soviet Union, Regina moved to the State with her parents, and they all recall the saddest item left behind aside from memories was a Petrof piano given to her mother by her grandfather, a beautiful beast of an instrument that she began to play at the age of 6.
Fast forward through the early years and Spektor’s hard work through late night gigs and meticulous dedication through Suny Purchase’s college music program has kept her driven. She’s worked with the Strokes, Kings of Leon, and Elysian Fields, and has a beautiful eccentric style many women in their mid 20s-30s would kill to pull off. She’s a dedicated writer, creative composer, and pianist, and her genre is the new anti-folk. Her new album What We Saw From the Cheat Seats is amazing, and her performance at the paramount is sure to create a love affair for all.
