Some soul-hop to carry you into the weekend
If you like Common, The Roots, or Fugees, you’re gonna vibe to Black Staxx. The group blends neo-soul, blues, and hip hop to create their contemporary urban sound that many in town are already familiar with. This Saturday they headline at The Columbia City Theater, promoting their recent album release, High Rhymes Smoking Jackets.
The group is comprised of MCs Silas Blak and Jace ECAj, and celebrated vocalist Felicia Loud. Other favorites joining them on stage will be Radio Raheem, Fysha, and Steelo.
“High Ryhmes” is the first track off of the new album, which was released earlier this summer. It’s only available at their live shows or at The Station in Beacon Hill. So grab yourself a cup of coffee, sit back, and chill out.
