When I’m not skipping from neighborhood to neighborhood in search of the best of-the-moment baked good (cronuts, macarons, baguettes, oh my!), I’m scrolling through hours’ worth of foodie blogs. Imagine my excitement when I discovered homemade sweets and bloggy pleasures will meet on Saturday, April 19th with The Broken Bread pop-up shop.
One of my MVP brunch spots in Ballard, The Fat Hen, announced a pastry pop-up shop hosted by Kristan of The Broken Bread. Kristan pens the beautifully written and photographed blog, The-Broken-Bread.com and was recently nominated for Saveur’s Best Food Blog Awards in the “Best Baking & Desserts” blog category (check out the blog, she deserves it!).

Now comes the waiting with anticipation. What will she be making at the pop-up shop? Her buttermilk cake donuts? Stout cupcakes with espresso frosting? Orange & cardamom bundt cakes? Activate your sweet tooth — I’ll see you there between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 19.
