IN THE KNOW: New IMAX at Pacific Science Center

A phenomenal way to experience your next movie.

After briefly closing for four months, the Boeing IMAX theater reopened on May 1st featuring next-generation IMAX with laser technology for the optimal theater experience. The Pacific Science Center is the first science center and only the second theater in the United States to secure this new and advanced digital projection system, the largest IMAX screen in Washington state.

The images are the sharp, bright, and clear paired with a powerful and precise sound system for ultimate sound immersion. The new chairs are spacious and cozy. Click here for the current schedule.

OUR EXPERIENCE: We watched Avengers II on the IMAX screen this month and it was a stellar all-around experience. While skeptical because 3D imaging often makes us a bit dizzy, this experience was crisp and realistic. The new 3D glasses wrap around your face comfortably and paired with the surround sound, was a invigorating movie-going experience. We definitely recommend IMAX for your next movie.
