Cupid’s Undie Run is a super fun, crazy 1-mile charity race where runners wear ONLY UNDERWEAR. Seattle’s edition takes place this Saturday at Westlake at noon! Cupid’s Undie Run focuses on the amazing mission to raise awareness for NF (Neurofibromatosis) and provide funds to The Children’s Tumor Foundation. The event is held in a total of 39 cities nationally and has currently raised over $2 million. Unlike other cities who hosted the run earlier this month with freezing temperatures like DC and Detroit, Saturday’s forecast calls for a party cloudy day and a high of 52 here in Seattle.
In support of this wonderful cause, Sock It to Me, a Portland-based designer of unique, expressive and design-focused socks and underwear, is the official national sponsor for 2016. Race participants will be decked out in the custom Sock It to Me designed Cupid’s Run underwear and socks. Sock It to Me’s Founder, Carrie Atkinson, and several team members will also be joining the Seattle event and running along with the other race participants!
The visionaries behind the sock company, which promotes self-expression and confidence, felt strongly that the partnership with Cupid’s Undie Run was a natural fit given their similar brands and values. “The mission of Cupid’s Undie Run resembles the mission of our socks and underwear – fun and with a purpose,” said Michelle Walker, CEO of Sock It to Me. “Running in your undies in public is not all fun. It takes courage, just like the kids battling Neurofibromatosis (NF).”
Those who participate in Cupid’s Undie Run will be required to fundraise a minimum of $100 to earn a pair of Sock It to Me underwear and socks. “We’re proud to provide the underwear that will cover the important parts, while helping Cupid’s Undie Run tackle the other important parts of raising money and awareness of NF,” said Walker.

About Cupid’s Undie Run
Held in 35 cities across the United States and four cities in Australia, Cupid’s Undie Run is the world’s largest organized underwear run and benefits the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF). The event combines a pre-race party, a one mile-ish undie run and an after party. In 2010, founders Brendan Hanrahan, Chad Leathers and Bobby Gill set off on a mission to raise awareness and donations to the CTF after Chad’s brother’s diagnosis of Neurofibromatosis (NF). A nationally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit, Cupid’s Undie Run has donated nearly $8 million to CTF. Photos: http://www.cupidsundierun.com/toppics
