Ahh, the joys of summer. August is in full swing and what’s better than sunshine, booty-shakin’ music, and delicious grilled food? It’s BBQ season! Dirtybird started with a grill and some speakers in Golden Gate Park 10+ years ago. They’ve hosted a lot of park parties and 2016 will have real BBQ fare, games and fan-fun contests. It’s set to be the best one yet! Dirtybird arrives in Seattle on Sunday, August 14th from 2:00 – 9:00 pm at the Seattle Center.

Last year’s BBQ embraced Seattle’s urban vibes by grilling up beats and meats at a parking lot in SoDo. The event sold out so make sure to grab your tickets ASAP!  This year, Dirtybird will be paying homage to the Emerald City, but trading the asphalt for grass and hosting the 2016 edition at the base of the iconic Space Needle!

This year, they’ll be bringing County Fair flair. They’ll have fair activities like Best in Show contests, tons of carnival games and a major upgrade on their classic fare – for $20, you get a full plate of authentic BBQ deliciousness. And there will also be city-exclusive t-shirts! Yup, it’s going to be a summer to remember.
