One Saturday a month, volunteer with old and new friends
Team Works is a volunteer group that sends volunteers out into the community one Saturday a month for four months, from September to December. Registration for fall session opened earlier this month, on August 17th. Team Works is a social volunteering league that gets you and your friends out into the community giving back and doing good—and yes, you have fun too. Volunteer sessions last from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. You’ll be finished in time to enjoy a late brunch!
Do you have the heart to volunteer, but don’t know where to start?
Or maybe you don’t have the patience to do the research, apply for a volunteer position, and commit to 6 months or a year? With Seattle Works, anyone can easily join an existing team, or grab some friends and make a new team. From there Seattle Works takes care of the rest. Seattle Works pairs the teams with volunteer sites and all people have to do is show up! There is a $35 fee for all participants that covers all volunteer supplies, and gets you a cool shirt.
With past team names like, “Blood Sweat and Beers”, “Future Stay at Home Dad Society,” and “Nerdy and Dirty” you know volunteering is fun with these people. Sign up for one of these teams, or grab your friends and make a new one. Volunteering with Seattle Works is easy. Do good, do something! It’s also an opportunity for people to get to know other like-minded people who want to give back to the community.
Registration for Team Works is open now and closes on September 2nd.
